Re: Security settings for this site

So far I've tried Safari, Firefox, and Chrome on OS X, Chrome on Android, and IE on Windows 8, and I haven't seen any sort of warning.

I will say, if you're accessing the site through a bookmark, delete it and make a new one.

Do any of the warnings resemble any of these ones?

Re: Security settings for this site

The HabForum is now protected with encryption, the same kind that online stores use for taking orders and such. Doing this requires a certificate from a third party...well, this isn't eactly true. You can make your own certificates, but modern browsers will definitely issue warnings if you do that! ...

Re: STA news

I will say, I do think the patch at $250 is a bit of a misfire. Ignoring the other incentives and where they fall in for a moment, I think $25, $35, or $50 would all have been great price points. Perhaps they'll choose to lower the threshold or, at the very least, offer a limited block of patches at...

Re: So, who's ready for 2014?

Obviously, given the recent track record, there's no way to know for certain that it's going to be held until we're all sitting in the Davidson Center.

However, if I was to bet on the probable outcome, I would say that it's going to be held this year, as planned.

Re: So, who's ready for 2014?

Onsite, not as dressy as 2007.

2007 was a black tie event. From 2008 on, the Hall of Fame event has always been "Business Attire." (i.e. suit and tie; a blazer will do).

Re: SC coins?

It's just what it sounds like. In 1995, if you had previously been to a Space Camp program, you were given this during graduation. There are several different "Returning Trainee" awards that were given out. That coin in 1995, a different one in 1996, and a patch was given out sometime in t...

Re: Movie patch, real or replica?

This raises a good question, and I certainly didn't do my due diligence before the close of the auction. I never compared the auction to my 2007 patch. I was just told it was "3 inches in diameter," which matches the 2007 replica. I have two crew jackets from SpaceCamp , and those patches ...

Re: Movie patch, real or replica?

I saw this on eBay (assuming it was this one) and asked the seller for the diameter of the patch.

From that information it was, in my estimation, one of the 2007 replicas. I could be wrong though.

Re: Pre-modern Sims

No idea how I missed that... I went back through the hab1 main page archives and didn't see anything on it. Well that makes me feel better knowing they finally got it back inside. Time flys I guess. I know since the last time Ive seen you guys, I had another kid and we moved to Space City (of Texas...

It's a new one to me as well.

PSA/Aside: I can't recommend putting images up on imgur enough before linking to them here. It's free, it's good, and it doesn't even require an account of any sort!

Nah, everybody calls it the meatball.

Is there anything structurally wrong with the bubble itself? Would it be possible to refurbish it?

Re: Corporate Camp 2013

Still working on photos... too much to catch up on after being away for a week. Still fighting with uploading photos to my personal webspace - I've never used it before and I'm pretty clueless when it comes to computer stuff unless there an App to make it easy. I still have to ask permission from o...
