same landing we had when i commanded Discovery in '92, it would have been a nominal landing if my pilot hadn't hit the landing gear switch and stowed the gear back inside the shuttle while trying to touchdown!!!!

I regret not being able to accomplish a few of the things I wanted to during my visit, but the Marriott was nice enough to gi...

i don't remember any repeats during my '89-'94 tenure.

back then, you had enough to fill a week:

Hail Columbia ('82)
Dream Is Alive ('85)
Blue Planet ('90)
Destiny In Space ('94)
Energy ('75)
Fires of Kuwait ('92)
Speed ('84)
To Fly ('76)

...i may even be missing one or two.

Oh yeah, that same year, my night counciler decided to throw us an after-hours party. Sort of against the rules. There was this older Level II hottie we all liked, and he said if one of us could score a "date" with her, he would throw the party. She showed up, and Big E (our counciler) bou...

Skunks got into the Hab II air ducts when I was there in '89. You can imagine the A/C blowing the wonderful smell into all of the sleep bays. Happened just as we were getting ready for bed too! For a couple of hours, Hab II was in total chaos!
