Full teams consist of 18 people i believe. It used to be split up into three groups of six for pilot track, MS track and Payload Specialist track. I think they did away with PS though so they may be a little different. Either way your team should be about 18 people. The first two times i went to cam...

I went to camp twice while i was 18. For one of those trips i was already a college student. You'll be on a fairly structured schedule and the only time you'll be without a counselor will basically be when you're on the floor you sleep on (obviously excluding bathroom breaks). That being said the co...

I finished high school today. It was rather anti-climatic Yeah. Everything for the last 4 years builds to that moment and then... its done. Did you at least have a cool party? We had a taco bar for my open house. It was apparently very popular as people that i wasn't even friends with kept showing ...

I never hosted my photos on your site (mostly because i never hosted them anywhere at all) but i think that all the energy and money that you're putting into it is really great! I've enjoyed being able to look at so many other peoples photos of camp and think you deserve a resounding thanks for keep...

I would. Actually, I did. Though your flightsuit will be a little different from the ones that the other ACers are wearing (or at least they were).

they drain the lake every winter. but this year, they're also working on flattening it out, so we can use more of it for free swim. Unfortunately, it's still not done, and I'm not sure yet when they will be done. So as of right now, we've got a big empty lake BED. You just need more campers with sh...

Yeah, the sim bay for MIII has a better atmosphere IMHO. You're also taller than I am though Maytag. Longer flights were kinda painful for me cause i had to sit up on the edge of the seat. I wonder if it just got stuck or something because I'm not THAT short so it should have fit better...

I went to ASA the first full week (or at least close to that time) after Sept. 11th. Four of us showed up. Three girls and one guy. Poor guy.

We slept in the Space Camp bays over in Hab 2 which are very similar to the AC bays. Not as warm though. :(

I had the option to do it but chose not to because I knew what my shelter looked like... I'm glad I didn't. It was the only night of the week that it poured rain (of course the night before E&E) and from what i understand the roaming skunk was out that night too.

Yeah the nurses will definitly have a problem with tags that don't correspond. I suppose that its quite understandable though.

nope - all the sims (mach I, II, and III) have the 50k feet ceiling - different cockpits, same software. I believe the correct altitude to avoid the SAMs in the sims is either 30k or 40k - I'm not sure offhand. Well it was an ASA event so the people running the tower probably weren't as proficient ...

The best thing about the AC sleeping quarters is that they're not nearly as cold as the Hab rooms are. My week at AC was the most comfortable sleep i've had in all of my 7 weeks in Huntsville.

I liked the mach 2 sims because i'm a small person and they fit me better. The Mach 3 sims required quite a stretch on my part if i wanted to use the pedals (yes, even with the seat moved up).

Funny story about the ceiling on those sims. We were told to ascend to like 51k once so as to avoid the SAM sites between us and KSC when we were at the advanced 8 day xmas session. It definitly resulted in us hovering in one spot while doing some odd acrobatics... Actually those were M3 sims ...

The sims at Space Camp or AC? I'll assume AC based on your avatar. They're pretty cool. Lots of buttons and switches! I really enjoyed flying in them when i was there the atmosphere in the sims bay at AC is pretty cool.
