Be sure to let your son do the work on the science experiments, patch, and essays. The judges can tell when the parents have done all the work on the application.

Sure! Call Catalog Sales (256.721.7120) and order it (US$5.00). Tell the lady who helps you that you've spoken to me (Cindy) about it. I've put it aside with your name on. That way it's covered in my inventory.

Re: SC photo frame?

We offered them through the gift shop for several years. They were priced at $20. They didn't sell, so the price was reduced and I started selling them for $10 at graduations. They sold slightly better at that price, but eventually, we sold them for $5 each. I sold the last 751 in FY 2012.

Re: So, who's ready for 2015?

Few of you probably remember, but there was a 6 day adult program every September for years. I was a counselor for such a team the last year it occurred (I remember distinctly being blown off my feet under Pathfinder, as Katrina roared through Huntsville, walking my team from the UAT to the Hab). Un...

Re: So, who's ready for 2015?

There is nothing on the books for a 6 day adult camp. :( I know that's a disappointment for several of you. As always, if you want to organize a 'corporate' group and customize your experience, you're welcome to do so!

Re: So, who's ready for 2014?

We are still working on the new registration software that is being used for FY 2015, so your patience is appreciated. My charts show we have Adult Academy 13 weekends in FY15. Three of those are 4 day programs. There is also an adult AC weekend. The dates will show on the registration form eventual...

Re: Orion Lunar Mission

So that's why the camp showed as full on 7/25. If they were planning for only 16 and one team, then it would also make sense that the website showed 3 open slots at 6/24. Correct. Weeks/sessions/programs are closed out a couple of weeks in advance to allow P&L to get schedules and rosters set u...

When did you check? At least two weeks out from a camp it is 'closed' and shows as full.

Re: The Lost Mission Patch

I am disappointed that the modern Advanced Space Academy has been dumbed down to exclude college credit, at least as I am told, they no longer offer college credit like they did back in my day. If I am wrong, correct me. You are incorrect. ASA trainees still receive 1 credit hour from UAH, and have...

Re: Adult space camp living quarters

FYI, married adults will not be roomed together in the Hab, unless you are attending Parent/Child; then the entire family is housed in one room. For adult camp, males and females are housed separately, regardless of marital status. Exceptions were made in the past, but are no longer allowed.
