As for the SR-71/A-12 bit, you may want to tell the USSRC to correct its museum guides, museum brochures, etc., as they have SR-71 Blackbird written all over them. However, I think the actual exhibit sign at the USSRC says A-12 Blackbird... so... what is it really?? It is an A-12. The A-12 "Ox...

The SRBs on Pathfinder were real and had flown at one point until NASA needed them... removing them from the USSRC was cheaper than building new ones. The bell at the bottom of the starboard booster is real. The SRBs are not real. Never were. The exhaust nozzle on the starboard SRB is real. The onl...

The G-Force 'centrifuge' ride is made from a ring of the Saturn V. Well, the old centrifuge (that now rests in the parking lot near HR) was built from part of the Saturn V, not G-Force. Does anyone know the facts about Space Shot - how fast it throws you into the air, how high you go, how much 'wei...

The UAT is the shape it is because it's the best for the space allowed and offers less complicated construction. It has nothing to do with the WETF. They both are that way because it makes good engineering sense. The depth of the UAT is 24' because at 34' (fresh) you gain an extra atmosphere of pres...

Talk to any engineer and they'll tell you that a Mechanical with Aero major will have more job opportunities than a straight Aero. Think bout that before you commit to a program. And UAH will have a dedicated Aero program soon, just ask all the grads that now have double majors in Mechanical and Aer...

The old mall that stood there was Parkway City, the new one is Parkway Place. A rose by any other name is still an old person walking track.

I won't even watch the game. I'll watch the commercials and the singing of the National Anthem and that's it. Thank god they got someone worth it to do it right this year (not that, this'll advance my career if i give this a pop/rock twist garbage)... members of the US military.

Free______.com

We've all seen the ads for them. Apparently it's legit, at least according to various news sources. I'll admit I am curious myself, so I signed up to see for myself if it is true. I only need to refer 3 people to get it and I thought this was as good a place as any to get people to help out. If you'...

Short version: Several states (including Alabama) were against the idea of the MLK day holiday, contending that MLK was but one small part of the Civil Rights movement and thus did not deserve the distiction of having a holiday in his honor. The holiday was passed by congress and President Reagan in...

UATDT & Happy Turtle Stores are no more.

Thanks to those of you who bought items from the stores. The UATDT store is now closed and the HT will be closed after Christmas. The new HT ornament will be available until then. That is as soon as it's finished.

On a side note, the "GL" store will open soon.
