Well... my letter has been submitted. While I doubt letters from foreigners will be taken with any weight, I hope this one will help. Who knows, if they get a letter from a foreigner, maybe they will realise just how important this situation is. And so... my letter follows for those who may be inter...

Breaking News from Mars
Rover Opportunity has made "significant" findings on Mars. For those of you who may check this website in the next hour, a news briefing will be aired on NASA TV at 2 PM Eastern time on 02 March 2004. This breaking news is supposedly about some findings of water, and its abundance on Mars....

Santa Tracker
It's a little early, or a little late, however you want to approach it, but this is an interesting website you can visit to 'track' Santa/Père Noël as he treks around the globe: http://www.noradsanta.org/ It's really cute, with a tracking map, secret footage from the ISS cameras, and more. In Decemb...

Did they tell you that the best stuff to start a fire are the small dead branches on the underside of evergreen trees? That stuff is always dry and always lights really fast. They should make a 24-hour mission for AC where they are in a dogfight for so many hours, then when they get shot down they h...

Our schedules were also rather flexible because sometimes we would get to a sim and there would be another team there finishing up, so we would do something else and come back later. It was nice to know the schedule so we had an idea of what to expect for the day - which mission we were doing, if we...

I have kept in touch with a few of my mates from camp. In 1998 I had a rather interesting group of people. I met Brian and kept in touch with him until ICQ messed up my computer in 2002 and he changed his e-mail address. Now I'm lucky if I can find him... he's out there... somewhere... unfortunately...

Funny how you should mention AC being more challenging. I have grown up spending the past 14 or 15 years in Guides and Scouts, so I have the making the bed and folding the clothes thing perfected. We have also done a lot of the outdoor survival things, like procuring food and water, crawling through...

Your account of AC Intermediate was a great read. It has furthered my interest in the AC programme. I hope that I will be able to go there someday. Once again, that will take some time, but I'll try! Goodness, it will be such a tough decision to choose which programme to go back to first, or maybe I...

I was assigned a broken nail, and being me, that's quite the contrary to something I'd ever complain about, but I played it up big time and created a huge fuss over it all. In addition, our counsellor had the two Australians and I team up as terrorists who wouldn't let anyone leave the helicopter. O...

Sorry to hear that. Hopefully you will have a good recovery from whatever may have happened so that you can return with full strength and ability :) I have also had some setbacks that will keep me away from camp for a while, but I do intend on returning, even if it is a few years from now! Best of l...

Jeremy, my counsellor, actually photocopied our schedule and gave it out to us every day. We were really good at keeping time on task. Then again, that was ASA and not AC. Maybe if everyone knows the schedule, then everyone can help everyone else stay with it! The only variance we had was that one o...

Well when i went to asa we didnt even get to go over to the AC area. We almost went over their one day just to swim and cool off because it was spo hot but the counselor couldnt get aproval. That's funny because when I was at camp in October we went to the lake. We had to get permission to go becau...

At our local science centre (and other science centres I have been to) they have a spinning umbrella thing. It is in a very vague mock-up of an ISS module. You stand on this plate that rotates and wobbles and watch the dots go round and round... Apparently some people get dizzy and/or nauseated. I c...
