The computer lab in Hab II doesn't have keyboards anymore. It's there strictly for camp activities, which don't require one. However, wireless access is available for everyone in Hab I, as long as you have your own laptop.

Do start early! Check out the spacecamp.com site in November or early December for the application. Things you'll need to complete the process is a transcript and letters of recommendation. In addition to being a basic space geek (which being a member of this site indicates you are! :P ), you've got...

I also learnt that counsellors get a copy of their team photos too! Or, at least my old counsellor has a folder of his team photos. Have there been any other 'standard' poses for team photos? I know some teams have their photo taken in front of Intrepid. The counselor can purchase their team photo,...

As I mentioned above, the Little People camp they arranged was a 3 day Pathfinder program, which was held in the fall. The LPBW episode featuring it will air later in the season.

Last night's episode was quite a good feature for Space Camp.

There is an Adult AC, but it's only 3 day, as there seems to be no interest in a 6 day, much less 12.

If we could round up enough interest in a week long AC camp my husband would be right there with you. He loves the 3 day program and would be in heaven for a weeklong.

And keep an eye for later in the season when the mom and one of the older son's attend a Pathfinder (3 day) program. It will be a separate episode, according to what the director told me during filming.

I was crazy busy last week, but I was there (working)! It was another wonderful event and this year it wasn't pouring ice cold rain like last year.

The ceremony is a nice recognition ceremony, but it isn't uber-formal. She and her team will receive their graduation packets (certificate, wings, team photo), then team awards are given. You know your family constraints. If you can't make it, it will be nice that her dad is there. A lot of kids don...

I do want to emphasize to parents to be sure Space Camp has your child's flight information well before the child's scheduled arrival (there is a form to complete available at spacecamp.com). It is shocking the number of people who arrive at the airport (not just children and not just the Huntsville...

All of the above information is quite accurate. As Boomerang said, be sure to check with the airline about unaccompanied minors. I know this summer at least one airline quit accepting UMs if they needed to change planes. The fees for UM have also gone up considerably this year, so double chec...

You have to have tickets for the Causeway? :o I went to a launch in 1984 and the causeway was close to our hotel. I remember it was lined with RVs spending the night to be in place for the early morning launch. We had to squeeze our way through them to get to Kennedy (we had tickets for VIP viewing).

I am happy to say the renovation of Pathfinder has been completed. All of the cranes and equipment have been removed (except one) and it looks great! Very shiny. The really good news is the pigeon deterrents that are being installed this week. This will help the 'Iron Horse' stay in better shape. Bi...

Boomerang has it right on the RA status. There are a limited number of rooms for RAs in all three Habs (AC counselors live in Hab 3 during the summer season). RAs must be a Level 2 or higher. The rooms are small and you will have a room mate during the summer, but it's really a pretty good deal and ...
