I'm leaving Sunday. In the week before the trip, a lot has happened. On Tuesday morning, my grandfather passed away. That evening, a tornado went through my yard and left me without power until yesterday evening. Respecting my grandfather's wishes, I am not going to let his passing get in the way of...

Re: Advice for a First Timer?
6. Talk to Dr. von Tiesenhausen personally. Get a picture with him, get his autograph. He is an awesome, awesome man with awesome lectures and an awesome story to tell. You will not regret it. If you don't know who he is, he was a member of Dr. Werhner von Braun (the creator of Space Camp)'s rocket...

Showers
Does anyone know when the boys' showers in Hab1 are least crowded? I can't decide whether or not I should take morning or evening showers.

Cell Phones-To Bring or not to bring?
I've seen a lot of debate over this on the forum and have seen conflicting things at camp. The first year I went (SC), nobody had one, but me and several other campers used MP3 players all we wanted at night. On my second trip (SA), they had a more strict message on electronics. They said don't use ...

Shuttle Sims
Which Orbiters are used for what?
This is what I know:
Discovery-SC (However, wasn't it dismantled?)
Enterprise-ASA

Questions for before I go
I have a few questions for ASA this summer. My flight is landing in Huntsville around 3 PM, but I know that check-in is from 12-2:30 I think. My dad called them, and they said it's not a problem. How does this work? Also, I have to bring medication (EpiPen and asthma inhaler, but no daily meds). Do ...

So the countdown begins
Yesterday my dad signed me up for ASA MS Track, June 26-July 1.
What exactly should I expect/know/bring?
How does it compare to Space Camp and Academy? Is it like the last two on steroids?

Why must everyone have to talk about how amazing the UAT is? I had a near-drowning in the UAT. The helmet flooded up past my nose whilst at the bottom of the UAT. I don't remember the majority of the 24-hour mission because I was in shock. It's not all rainbows and lollipops. Feel better? (Granted,...

International Campers
I read a review of ASA, and it said as much as 75% of campers are from outside the US, as far as Japan. Is this true? I think the review I was reading is outdated, as it mentioned going to Marshall. I would think most of the international crowd would be channeled into the international camps. The on...

Joe Engle
A few weeks ago my dad and I went to EAA Airventure in Oshkosh. For those of you who don't know, it's a very large airshow/fly in. We got to see Joe Engle talk about flying the T-28, X-15, and the Space Shuttle. I think he's the only person to fly the X-15 and shuttle into space. He was probably the...

Wifi network?
I heard that there's a Wifi network in Hab1. Is this true? Would my iPod touch work in it, or is it only on the adult floors? It's not that important, but if it's there, why not.

Open Letter to President and Congress?
I've been thinking of teaming up with people to create an open letter to the president and congress about extending the shuttle program to shrink or even close the gap between the shuttle and orion. It wouldn't make sense for the country who made it to the moon to sacrifice their self-reliance in sp...
