Check out some neat illustrations from Dr. von Braun's pre-Apollo book about space travel at Paleofuture.

(and if you're in the market for some Louis Vuitton bags, you're in luck, check out the comments there!)

Jennifer, I really wanted "Eagle", which would've been perfect had it not been taken (as was almost every other working I tried). Also, in most states, the plates don't stay with the car and are taken off when the car is sold. They can be transferred to a new vehicle for a small fee (sorta...

Bruce McCandless suing over use of iconic image

Dido Sued by Astronaut for Using Space Flight Picture Okay, so it's not the iconic image, but the cover art of Dido's 2008 album "Safe Trip Home" is a photo from the 1984 test of the MMU. Before you blow it off, take a look at NASA's rules for using photographs. Depending on how "rec...

You can watch some of Stephanie's segments on the Weather Channel's website. I only see one now, but she says that more will be added later.

Stephanie Abrams enjoyed her "EVVA"

Anyone else watching Weather Channel this morning? There was video of Stephanie doing some of the camp sims and then some video of her as a kid, when she enjoyed doing an "EVVA"

Adult camps are the best, you have freedom to do so much more than as a kid. I remember the time that we all went over to the ████████ in order to ██████ ██████ ████████ with ████. Once we actually ██████ a █████████ and ████████████; we even took a picture of that one! If you're super stealthy*, yo...

Congratulations! 1) I don't think so, but some of the counselors here may be able to give you a rough agenda 2) A half day will help you get your bearings and explore a bit, but I guess it depends on the amount of detail you like to study. 3) The program usually ends in the early afternoon (someone ...

That's interesting, Bill. I had assumed it was because they were worried about your blood sugar dropping with the exercise and not being able to surface quickly enough. I know there are plenty of places that will let diabetics dive if they have very good control.

THIS! If you're going to force Billy-the-horrible to go to a camp, why pick one that costs a grand a week and is not something he's remotely interested in?

Also, has anyone had a pee-cicle anomaly during an EDM? I think that'd be a pretty good one, especially someone was assigned bladder issues and MOCR told them not to use the WCS.

Pee-cicle Photo?

We all know that a pee-cicle formed on the side of Discovery on STS-41D and I'm pretty sure there were some photos of it in the relevant Camp briefing, but I can't find any online. Anybody have a copy they can send me? In searching, I found this interesting oral history from Charlie Walker in which ...
