I am actually deathly afraid of Dippin' Dots. I had them at our state fair, and when I put a bunch in my mouth, they refused to melt, so my tongue and lips got frozen together. I was probably a funny sight, because I was trying to scream and couldn't because my mouth was frozen shut! They did finall...

Hehehe, that reminds me of the time I had just put on butterscotch scented lip balm in the shuttle, and Phil comes in to show us what to do, and he gets this look on his face like he smells something funny. I explained what the smell was, and he says, "Oh! I was about to ask if someone was maki...

I believe a peck is an actual unit of measure also, and that's what the song is referring to, rather than a kissing "peck" (on the other hand, it's probably an intentional double meaning).

But you probably knew that... :)

I definitely miss it, especially as it gets closer to the time when I went last year. I'm bumming about the fact that I won't be going this year more than I expected I would.

I was in 301...it was definitely cold, but not horrible...maybe it has something to do with it being a corner room (like having outside walls on two sides)?

Space Day is always the first Thursday in May, so the date changes year to year. However, not all organizations end up celebrating on the Thursday...I know of a museum that was celebrating it today.

The only trouble with this is that, if I did it, I'd be poking my walls popping the bubbles when I got stressed and eventually my wallpaper would be deflated :P

Even though the movie's different from the book, is it still true that you'll be lost if you haven't read the book? I haven't, so I may wait to see the movie till I've read it.

I've read the first three books and seen the first two movies, so I have some catching up to do. I'm the one who voted for waiting till it comes out in paperback, since I like Harry Potter, but probably won't get to it for a while, and since my other HP books are paperbacks. As for Star Wars, I took...

I bought my own speakers for my computer at work because they didn't provide any, and the muzak drives me crazy, so I have to play CD's on my computer! At least this muzak is real songs as opposed to elevator music, and I even like some of them, but it gets so repetitive sometimes I go out of my min...

The thing I learned: you can't waste your life missing what you're never going to receive. You have to move on and forget. Hehe, I think I've only just realized this, and I'm 32 :) Either that, or I knew it, and have only recently put it into practice. I used to be disappointed about the way my lif...

I read everything from Star Wars/Star Trek books to Harry Potter to medical thrillers to mysteries, if it's my own choice...plus I'll usually read whatever books are being passed around work. I used to read a lot of Tom Clancy type books, but haven't kept up on those as much lately.
