Re: An individual booking attending with a group booking

There will also always be a counselor on call at night and they will let your daughter know where that counselors room is so they can get help if nessecary all night long. Also even though there may be only one counselor on call if she can't find their room knock on any counselor's door if there is ...

Re: An individual booking attending with a group booking

From my experience unless you are a member of a school group or some other group going to camp most campers do not know there teammates when they arrive though some do go with a friend. this being said there will be icebreaker activities and team building activities to help get the group together. I...

Re: Space Warriors ISS location?

The ISS sets i saw used in the movie were in deed used at camp but only one was an iss sim. Not sure where it is now but at one time the one used for most iss seens atleast prior to the accident in the movie was just on the other side of the double decker section of the iss mockup at camp. Re: Space warriors review and whatthe hecks?

I would like to say something about the competitive aspect of this movie and A Smile As Big as the moon. Though there is competition at camp today in the form of top gun, best mission etc, the competition is hardly mentioned. AC the Top Gun award though is a highly competitive in some cases award we...

I finally saw the movie Space Warriors just got it from Net Flix. I think some programs already use the Orion simulator but i'm not sure about the lander or the roving vehicle they turned the okld endeavour motion based simulator into.

Re: For sale, very early SC jacket

I think they actually sold jackets like these or similar to them into the early 90s i remember seeing them there in 91 though i think they had a black collar more like some of the dark blue ones do now by then. I would have lioved to have one back then but had limited spending money and already had ...

They were never restocked either. As i recall when stuff sold out that was 25th anniversary related it was gone and never reordered.

Re: Are specific weeks given team names normally each year?

Well the list of names is established and they have a certain order in which they are used like my lkast week working their I had a Mach 2 team first name on the list was Falcons so we were the Falcons. If their had been a second team i believe it would have been the hornets. etc etc etc. The teams ...

Re: Are specific weeks given team names normally each year?

Actually each program has specific names that are used. Which names are used depends greatly on how manyv teams are are in a given program that week. When i worked there you were assigned a team name when you got your schedule for that week. Camp has certaion names i cant remember what they are thou...

Re: Spacecraft Films - awesome HD space DVDs!

As i said i have obnly seen a couple of them. Some like with the Dynasoar were your typical government videos you know your tax money at work with a narrator talking about some of the stuff but there is a lot of raw footage as well. I don't know if the mission ones have news coverage included or how...

Re: Spacecraft Films - awesome HD space DVDs!

I have the Apollo 1 and X-20/Dynasoar DVDS from them. I will say these are not your history channel narrated documentaries. I have only seen these 2 and one other and for the most part they are pretty raw but rarely seen footage. they have been cleaned up so they are high quality video but they are ...

I see several places offer the Air Force Astronaut Wings on Name tags but noone seems to offer the Navy/Marine Astronaut wings. I believe the first sight you listed was where avaition challenge ordered our counselor name tags from since we wore navy and air force wings on ours counselors choice. I k...

Re: Defect in SC jackets sold in gift shop, beware!

Obviously something about these jackets has been changed or there is a problem with your partucular one. I have had the same jacket design with diffrent patches for 7 years have worn it out in rain many times with no problems thats a strange one.

Aviation Challenge also handed out patches for its various awards as well. I actually have one of each of the AC, SC, and SA award patches i...
