I remember driving on the Causeway to get to KSC last time I was down there. Does the Causeway essentially shut down as people park on it to view the launch? I don't remember if it had a very defined shoulder or not. I'm looking at Google Maps right now to try to find a place. Similarly, is the Benn...

Cool, thanks for the advice! Sounds chaotic, though. What's worse is the fact that I'm driving from Davidson, NC, and I can't leave until 10:20! Google tells me it's an 8 and a half hour drive, so that's going to be cutting it close. I'll take what I can get, but I'll try to figure out one of those ...

Hey everybody... long time, no see. The stars have aligned, and after 22 and a half years of waiting, I am finally going to get to see a launch! This one, specifically, assuming something doesn't jack up the mission. So, I had a question... what is the best vantage point for a typical member of the ...

Star Wars and Star Trek are separate, and a favorite does not have to be chosen. Period. At least, that's my opinion.

The Star Wars Robot Chicken special premieres this weekend!

Maybe some day...

Who knows what I was talking about. I have an inability to recall anything I've already said when someone else brings it up online.

Speaking of sponsor shirts, for the years where they named the teams after the sponsors and actually gave you shirts with your sponsor name on the back, I'm pretty sure I was always team Coke. I might have been Thiokol one year, but it was almost always Coke. So I have Space Camp/Coke Shirts somewhe...

Wait... you're telling me they used to have an option where actual campers could get in actual planes and actually take the controls? Was there a trained professional in the second seat ready to take over to avoid disasters?

Huh, those novels actually sound like something I really would have enjoyed when I was younger! Shame they stopped publishing them.

See my sig? Yeah, Hab 1. As a camper at least. I don't know what being a counselor in hab 1 or 2 is like.

I always take the bed over the desk.

It's XPlane, if you know the program. They even had the creator himself down there tweaking it at one point.

des - do you mean the old You Can Fly program? I remember they had it for the first year I did Academy as an option, and I was very disappointed when my parents had passed by the opportunity figuring I could do it another year... only for them to cancel it the next summer! Someone mentioned PT... I ...

Well, from what I heard from people who will be handling the track, it's quite literally half-and-half, with you having one counselor (day or night, they weren't sure) from spaceside and one from AC.
