Re: Possible New Space Camp Logo

Well, all things considered the old logo is over 25 years old now (I still fondly remember the original Space Camp logo with its big bold letters, like what my original flight suit has). This one still harkens back to the logo designed for the Space Camp movie. So, perhaps it wouldn't be a bad idea ...

Well, when I was there in 1985, four campers were MSes assigned to do the tetrahedron assembly. I believe that three would be on the bottom in the 5DF rigs (at least two of them were in 5DFs, the other might have had simulated "foot restraint" anchors in the payload bay) and the fourth one...

If you guys thought the movie was good, pick up a copy of the book. I read it cover to cover after the film (I couldn't put it down) and all things considered, the movie actually stuck close to the book (one of the better translations I had seen of book to film). Reason I read the book AFTER the fil...

I read some of the Aviation Challenge postings. I remember seeing the domes in an Aviation Challenge commercial from sometime in the mid 1990s. When it first came on, I said "Hey, those domes look familiar" but didn't put two and two together that they were talking about a new part of Spac...

Well, I do happen to have one Polaroid of one wall in the old Spacelab that I had a counsellor shoot of me doing an experiment in it during the first of the two missions we did (I was Payload Specialist Delta for that flight). I need to get it scanned, but I have to reload my scanner's software sinc...

Re: "Good" old days

Three years later and I thought I would add to the conversation since my own knowledge dates back to early 1985 and things were about the same as when rkolker went through one of the early adult sessions. To go back to the original topic, I was there at one of the prototype adult sessions while they...

It wouldn't surprise me as being something of a rare patch as you have to figure after a certain date in January, 1986, it likely never got used again (and the Space Camp movie caused a bit of an alteration in the camp teams and logos anyway). I have never seen the Columbia or Atlantis patches. But ...

Nice place you guys have here.

I heard about this place from a collectSPACE forum post on Space Camp obviously. I honestly had no idea this place existed. I suppose you can blame it on "A Smile As Big As the Moon" as I watched the Hallmark program, then cracked open a copy of the book I picked up a few years back yet ne...

Dang it, now you've made me miss my old airplane! ;)

I owned a Grumman AA5 Traveler for two years. I had to sell it when I lost my full time job. Sure, she wasn't as high performance as a Bonanza, but she was all mine.
