Yah you are right. I was just wondering because one of my friend said he flew agaist 5 or 6 enemy planes and I only thought AC had 4 Mach III sims.

It is kind of both. There is both Air Force and Navy influences. I guess you could say there are somethings that they got from the movie, like the Top Gun composition but it has other things too. I hope this helps and doesn't make you more confused.
