Well, it's official. The facebook announcement states that there will be no alumni camp this year. Taken from Space Camp's facebook page: " The U.S. Space and Rocket Center has decided to not run an Adult Alumni Camp as part of the Hall of Fame weekend in 2010. This is due in part to the date s...

It's been a while since I've been on this site, but Boomerang, you linked me back to the hab through your facebook post. I never even noticed the lack of alumni e-mails until I saw that someone had mentioned that on facebook too. I remember hearing that there were changes happening on the training c...

My wife brought a rocket ship cookie cake into my office for my birthday, I love cookie cake! I had to scrape the icing off, though, it was super rich.
Now I really feel deprived! Maybe next year...for that big 20-10 birthday...hint, hint.

My birthday was this past weekend too! But I didn't get a space shuttle cake from my geeky fellow Space Camp boyfriend!

Congrats on your daughter Todd! I guess that you're getting really excited about going to camp now! You'll have fun. Thanks for the info on Denver. Sorry, when I visited Colorado in July, I wasn't able to get together. We got in late on Tuesday night, just in time for a hailstorm. Then my aunt and u...

Wish that I could plan to go, but classes start on August 19th next year (I just looked it up.) Sorry, but you'll have to count us out of the alumni weekend again. It will probably knock out most alumni who are currently taking college classes too, since most of the people I know in college go back ...

There were only 2 of us in my room, but the other female room had 5 I believe. The most there can be is 7 per room, but usually they don't put that many adults into one room.

Well Kid, if my finances are okay then, you can count on me coming too. I'll be (hopefully) finished with my second degree, master's degree, and CPA exam before then, and finances should get better. Hopefully they listen to us and make the camp longer than a 3-day weekend, because I can't see paying...

I believe that I found this site in a search one night a few years back. Advertising on sites like facebook and myspace can help to promote this site and bring more people and their adventures or questions to us.

Can we chalk it up to very little advertising, the lack of days with the dinners, and the economy. Ok so we will let you, Pilotgirl, Boomerang, and the rest of the slackers slide this year...but next year we expect a full turnout! :D Haha I believe that all of those that you mentioned are what you ...

Congrats on your soon-to-be first born! On another little side note, T minus 16 days until I visit your state of Colorado for the first time! When I visited in February 2008 the kids shop was still there. One guy on my team back in June 2007 bought a onesie (however you spell it!) for his soon-to-be...

I also wish that I could go. It doesn't surprise me that they almost canceled the alumni camp weekend. I hope that those of you who are going have enough people signed up so that you can have a great time.

Has anyone played this game yet? There were no reviews on amazon.com yet, but anyways I would rather have reviews from someone who has actually been to Space Camp. Chris apparently has a Nintendo DS, but we just can't afford to purchase the game yet.

I never did the adult 6 day program, but I did do the adult weekend program and the Advanced Space Academy 6 day program when I was 16 and 17. I don't know how much has changed since I did the 6 day program (back in 1997 and 1998), but we had lectures and missions with training, along with a 6-hour ...

I think they waited a little too long to decide to have an alumni weekend in July. It's already June. In 2007, I believe I was registered within the first week that the alumni camp was posted, sometime in February I believe. July 11th is only five weeks away. I think it will be impossible to get eno...
