As of today (the 13th) I have about 22 days.

Not that I'm counting? Teehee, I have one of those counters linked on my Firefox.

To all who are there now, have fun! What I would give to be out there today...

And to anyone coming up soon, have fun as well!

Ooh, Nashville? I have lived in Tennessee for 10 years, and I never visited Nashville until last year. The sad thing? I used to live 30 minutes outside city limits before moving east. Okay, back to ontopic-ness. Every year, I take the 3 hour drive to Huntsville and arrive way too early. So, we are f...

Hmmm, Hab 1 is the one I prefer. However, I do have some interesting memories in Hab 2. (3 years ago? It seems so long...) We girls like our privacy :P So (I'm not sure if this is commonplace but...) all of the top bunk girls used towels to make personal 'rooms' around each top bunk. (They hooked th...

I have graduated from Camp and Academy recently, so maybe my answers will help? (Some things might be inaccurate, but mostly, it's like this) Camp vs Academy Camp: The rooms are cold in Hab 2, and you are in a room with 40 some people. Academy: The rooms are REALLY cold in Hab 1, but you get to make...

odd coincidence I thought I'd share with you:
the first year I went, I went the same week as you.
I was in Armstrong.
And we picked that patch.

just thought it was interesting enough to share ;)

actually, it was my second shuttle launch at camp.
I was there for STS-114 (we watched it in the IMAX :o)
and for STS-121 (we just watched it on the TV near the mission center)

but yeah, it's fun. we had a mission during STS-121, so it was kind of funny to watch them do exactly what we just did :D

I was at 8 Day over the fourth...
basically, we considered sts-121's launch and our rocket launch (though most of it was boring) our fourth celebrations :P

I had Lindsay last year, she was REALLY nice. Oscar is awesome too. James was nice, except when he FORCED us to watch the Time for Courage thing just to prove a point DURING OUR SCHEDULED DINNER. Dana was AWESOME, let us sing on the top of our lungs "We are the Champions," "We Will Ro...

yeah... academy does 2 missions.
well, six day does.
eight day does 5.

you have left and come back by now, I'm sure.
but I'll stick in my two cents ;)
iPods and mp3 players work MIRACLES at night, when trying to sleep.
and the campers who can't fall asleep are slamming doors left and right...
so I would recommend it ;)

I have a question about ASA myself... is there a pilot/scuba for 13 day? because if so, it's not listed on my booklet-thingy. just wondering... and I was wondering what the average age is? More 17-18 or more of the younger ones 15-16? want to make sure I'm not surrounded by A LOT of people older tha...

you have 2 choices: 6 and 8 day (I have done both) "What Hab are you in?" Hab1- the one with 4 floors. since you're a guy, you'd be on the 2nd one. "How many missions do you do?" "How long are your missions?" Six Day- 2, I believe. 2 hours each? (not sure about this one...

I know you asked for MOCR, but I might as well add orbiter positions. Space Camp 2004 Commander: hit switches, follow stupid script Flight Director: no point in the CAMP missions Capcom: no fun when everyone can technically talk to the orbiter Space Academy 2005 Station Commander: danced around stat...

Its been a couple of years since I went to space CAMP, so this might be incorrect, but I'll just give what I know You write about why you are qualified for a certain position and your counselor picks it from there. We used Endeavor....er, I think. The one closeset to the grey steps We also used Disc...
