Of course it was Brent, but I don't think he was joking around. by the way...maytag, was that you're callsign? were you at Mach III in ear...

yeah

I'm a pretty good rio...so I usually would team up with an inexperienced guy and teach him how to pilot. One year in top gun...we were in a toilet bowl. and I told the guy to keep turning right. He turned left.

Man...if I was just a pilot I could so win Top Gun.

my favorite counselour was a guy named Bret Miller ...but everyone will remember him by his callsign "Aqua". he was the cool type...he cared about winning...he cared about flying...he knew how to do his job...but unfortunately he didn't care about breifings... management didn't like that.....

Exactly. A private company's goal is to make money off of spaceflight. Commercial spaceflight will be interested in deploying payloads, ferrying passengers, and perhaps in the future mining on mars. They won't be up there to explore space or do experiments. This may actually benefit NASA as they wil...

hmmm...

I'm Canadian to the bone...and I did favor Calgary because they had lots of ex penguins who I have met. I was rooting for those guys. However, the arguement that Tampa doesn't deserve a cup because they aren't a "hockey" town is bogus. Florida is the roller hockey capital of the world. No ...

Commercialization

Allow me to say something about space commercialization: Yesterday...the first privately funded manned spacecraft made a flight to an altitude of 62 nm. On May 5, 1961, NASA launched their first manned spacecraft on a similar flight. That puts commercial spaceflight somewhere around 43 years behind ...

SpaceShipOne

Thought I'd give a little update on an X-Prize competitor Today, June 21, 2004, at 9:45 AM EST, the world's first privately funded manned spacecraft embarked on her maiden extra-atmospheric flight. SpaceShipOne was carried aloft by the White Knight aircraft from which it was later dropped. The space...

Uh, Brent

well I have a really funny brent story...but its a little inappropriate. However, If I post it and get kicked off, that would be very brent like...so here goes. Last week during spacebowl jeopardy, brent decided that it would be fun to create a tossup question about a woman's monthly cycle. Just as ...
