Re: Air cusion sims
Also, the hanging harnesses fusing sims are really used by astronauts in training. I wish I could recall the video so I could look it up. I found it really neat to see the correlation.

Re: Looking for information on a Patch
Looks like a team that turned their camp patch sketch into reality. We have done this a few times with our team patches. It may be from anywhere though, not just US Space Camp.
Re: 2022!
https://www.medicalmasksuperstore.com/blue-galaxy-disposable-surgical-face-mask-50-pack/ Not available in Canada. Does camp sell these? I will bring a bunch of boring blue ones anyway. The last thing I want is to be quarantined for ten days after returning home. I loved the 40th anniversary shirts ...
2022!
I'm headed back to camp next month for a week! What's different? What is no too be missed since pre-COVID times? Do they sell spacey masks? How is Pathfinder looking these days with the restoration? The new camp building?
I'm excited.

Re: Flight Suits - How well do they fit?
Funny, as I think they fit two sizes too big in the waist. Perspective. I'm an adult female with a small waist and the flight suits are unisex. I wear youth size 20 or adult XXS flight suit. I am concerned that I won't have enough room on my flight suit for my 2022 mission patch. I'm not ready to re...

Re: Boomerang has passed
I haven't been here in a while (student life and new job) so I am late to find out. I'm deeply saddened to hear this. He was one of my camp teammates and a friend for some time. He even snuck me into camp one day when he worked in admin. He will be dearly missed.
Godspeed, Boomerang.

If you get down there and the flight suit you ordered doesn't fit, you can exchange it on-site if they have your size, or get a refund.

Woman in Motion
It is a documentary film about the influence of Nichelle Nichols on the space programme, especially its diversity and inclusivity. I found it a very interesting watch. Available on iTunes (Canada).

Re: LEGO STS-31
Ulysses was sold out by the time I tried to order it, anyway. My uncle couldn't get it either. They must have had very few available.

LEGO STS-31
LEGO recently released a larger model of the Discovery and Hubble Space Telescope. I was thrilled with the smaller version from 2003, part of the Discovery Kids series, and excited to see how this one compares. The new version has three times as many pieces and thus three times as large; it also has...

Congratulations, Vincent! This page has been a huge part of my camp experience. I continue to read each update to the main page and check the forums on a regular basis (though not as regular with school this year).

Re: Rocket restorations
The Saturn I looks beautiful. They did a great job with the restoration. I really look forward to Pathfinder’s restoration. Back when the foam was original, not painted over, we would count the pennies stuck in the foam from people throwing them at the ET. Anyway, I have many good memories of the Sa...

Re: Save Space Camp Campaign
Boeing just donated $500,000! The current fundraising progress is at just over $1.1 million in three days. There is still a ways to go, but it is promising that their goal will be met in time. There have also been some humorous Space Camp movie references in the donations, like 'Hideo Takamini' and ...

Of any SC memorabilia, I feel this one needs to be earned, not bought, unless you are replacing one that was lost or damaged.

It looks like it has stitching holes to me. It's subtle, and on the front they would have been within the merrowed edge.blachwk wrote:Out of curiosity, was this patch used or not used? (Pin holes from stitching, wear, etc?) I could not quite tell from the photos.

Re: Euro Space Center
Thank you for the updates. What does the shuttle name AMICITIA translate to in English? I am happy to hear they still have space shuttle simulators and missions. The futuristic missions at US Space Camp are good, but require more imagination since the real spacecraft are still development themselves...
