Looking for information on a Patch

Master Patch Maker Tim Gagnon put out a request for information on the attached patch.

He posted the following in the Space Hipsters Facebook group:

"Does anyone recognize this patch? I’m not sure but I believe it’s a Space Camp or an Analog Crew patch.

Trying to learn the story"

We literally got to pick and choose ala carte between the two programs but it was primarily the STEM program. We also added a trip the Strataca salt mine as well. Re: So, 2023.....?

I was part of the 2022 Adult Astronaut Experience. Basically a group of us requested it and they built the program around us. They gave us a list of activities and we built the program ala carte. Then after we built it, they opened it to the public. It was an incredible program. The training is ever...

They've stripped the ET of it's foam and are in the process of de-mating the SRBs.

The person who took the picture, with Charlie, is my teammate from the Academy! Her name is Patricia Williams and she works at the KSC Visitor Complex in the Education Department! Go Team Magellan!

Re: Flight Suits - How well do they fit?

I actually bought two suits. One suit has my mission patches and the other one has my achievement patches (Outstanding Team and Alumni patches). That way I have one for "formal" functions and one for "daily" wear! :)

Re: Flight Suits - How well do they fit?

Yep! I was able to exchange mine when I got on-site. Turns out that they run about two sizes too small around the waist. I actually took mine to a tailor just today to get the legs hemmed and my mission patches sewn on.

He's taking a break right now so all of his products are down at the moment. He usually does this in order to catch up with his orders.

Lea Thompson is returning to Huntsville!

Just got wind that Lea Thompson will be coming to the 2022 Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo in April!

That's why I've posted it here and not on the Alumni Facebook group. :)

Gotta pass the word!

Re: Name Badges

So I know that a lot of alumni are looking for Space Camp specific nametags (myself being one of them). I contacted John P. on Etsy and gave him a design that I came up with based on the FAA Commercial Astronaut wings. Here is the prototype that he came up with. I think he nailed it!

Yeah, that gimbaled simulator is long gone. If I were a betting man, I would say that it was tucked away in the conservation area along with the MOLAB and some of the other stuff that used to be on display but has since been taken off property.

Re: It's a shame Space Camp couldn't have gotten and used this...

Which orbiter sim is that? The one that they have branded as Endeavour is in the Astrotrek building and is being used for junior camps. They have it connected to a salvaged station module that they got from Marshall. A teammate and I checked it out while we were on break one day. It has the full fli...

Re: Callsigns??

I was extremely lucky in that I got a callsign my first time at camp! I was at the recent Adult Advanced Academy and we were running our EDM to Mars. I was the commander of the landing mission (as opposed to the group in the station orbiting Phobos). Our SOCOM (CAPCOM for the Mars missions) was star...

Re: Adult Advanced Space Academy

So, I talked to a couple of the trainers as to why they don't release the schedules either prior to camp or during camp. They said it's because they want to be able to maintain the flexibility of the schedule. If they release the schedule, then people are expecting modules at a certain time. This wa...

Nice! The first time I went on it, it was with my oldest kid. The second time, years later, I flew solo. The last moment, when the payload bay doors open and you're suspended by your straps..breathtaking!

Re: Anyone going to the Adult Advanced Academy starting on 10/31?

So cool you got a callsign. Most don't their first time. Is that you in the Endeavour hat? If so, can you post a good shot of the patches on your jacket? The patches for the most part are the standard ones that come with the jacket. I added two. The first being a nametag that I had made from nameta...

Re: Anyone going to the Adult Advanced Academy starting on 10/31?

Actually, that's Orion 1. Orion 2 has been dedicated to the lunar mission for the kids camps, which is too bad, because it has the higher fidelity simulator. Though, Orion 1 is still a good ship and Altair was fun as well!

Re: Anyone going to the Adult Advanced Academy starting on 10/31?

Yeah, we had such a great group too! We only had one member who was...less than a team player. Seems all he wanted to do was slip out of camp and get stoned all day. No training, no sims. Whatever..more fun for the rest of us! As for my missions, I got nearly all of the positions I wanted! On Alpha ...
